Are Things Getting Bad Out There?

Well fellow Zalienites, I felt truly shocked when the Lufthansa employees at the Houston International
Airport told me I couldn't accompany my niece, who is a minor and traveling alone, to the airline gate.
I explained to them I would feel better if she didn't have to cross that big terminal by herself. But they
said no because of security reasons. Oh, and by the way, "We can give you a gate pass to accompany your niece
if you pay us $90 dollars!" You heard me right. I can bypass their security concerns if I pay them $90 Dollars.
This is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard. Lufthansa didn't care about the safety of my niece unless
I paid them an extra $90. So you can be whomever, if you pay them $90 you can get a gate pass to accompany
a minor to the gate, be it a relative or not, I suppose.
